golf day 2001

A friendly golf day for CTBF supporters, their friends and business clients took place on 6th September 2001 at Gerrards Cross Golf Club. The day saw 62 players tee off to compete in the morning competition before being sustained by lunch and teeing off again for the 10 hole competition in the afternoon.

The Fund sends its thanks to KODAK Motion Picture Imaging who have committed to a 3 year sponsorship deal for this annual event.

This is a great day's play on the best courses around and teams of 4 or individuals are all welcome.

For the record, here are the 2001 prize winner's. The Morning 18 Hole Single Stableford Competition in 1st Place to take The Bostock Trophy for Members of the Industries was Peter Allwork of Aerial Camera Systems, in 2nd place was Gary Jones Producer and in 3rd place was Huw Rhys-Lewis of The Lewis Company.

Also in the morning competition there is a trophy for a player who is not directly employed in the industries and the Owen Cooper Trophy was awarded to Huw Rhys-Lewis.

In the afternoon 10 holes Four Ball Better Ball competition played in pairs, the winners were, 1st place to take the Bill Bailey trophy were cameramen Ken Coles and John Ignatius. In 1st place to take the A.I.P. Trophy for a team where one or both players are not in the industries was Adrian Ward of The Lewis Horwitz Organisation (holder for second year running) and Simon Baxter of The Motion Picture Bond Co. In 2nd place was Paul O'Neile of United International Pictures & Pat Sheller of Kodak and in 3rd place was Huw Rhys-Lewis of The Lewis Company and Nicholas Wheeler, Secretary of the CTBF (this was not a fix promise!).
