REGIONAL premieres of the long awaited Casino Royale took place across the country as part of the 60th Anniversary celebrations of the Royal Film Performance™

Local celebrities up and down the country attended the red carpeted events in Glasgow, Belfast, Plymouth,Newcastle, Leeds and Birmingham - just 24 hours after the world premiere in Leicester Square.

They were joined by hundreds of Bond enthusiasts who turned out to watch Daniel Craig make his screen debut as the legendary 007.

The exclusive regional screenings were organised in aid of the Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund.

 

BELFAST PREMIERE

Miss Northern Ireland Catherine Milligan added a touch of glamour to the Belfast premiere, which was also attended by Robert and Louise Dunlop and popstar Jim Corr.

Up to 400 guests attended the event which raised over £9,000 for the CTBF.

Organiser Robert Lamrock, Senior Director at UTV, said: "It has been 30 years since the last CTBF premiere in Belfast (Towering Inferno) and UTV were delighted to host Casino Royale at the Movie House."

GLASGOW PREMIERE

Glasgow

Top Scottish celebrities, including actors Johnny Beattie, Carmen Capaldi, Anna DiMascio, High Road’s Lesley Fitz-Simons and Strictly Come Dancing’s Carol Smilie, attended the Glasgow premiere. The event raised more than £4,000 for the CTBF.

NEWCASTLE PREMIERE

The Northern premiere of the smash hit ‘Casino Royale’, screened in Newcastle–upon-Tyne in November, raised more than £5000 for the CTBF.

Sponsored by Aspers Casino and Empire Cinemas, the event was staged at the Empire Cinema, the Gate, Newcastle before a packed Cinema.

The Gala Night included pre-screening cocktails and a post premiere four- course dinner for corporate guests at Aspers.

PLYMOUTH PREMIERE

More than 400 people attended the Plymouth premiere raising more than £4,500 for the CTBF.

A post premiere party was held at the Boudoir Room, Oceana.

A host of presenters from ITV Westcountry and BBC Spotlight attended the event along with TV chefs the Tanner brothers.
