Are you addicted to Pop Idol? Did you realise we had our very own search for a star competition first? Wannabes was a singing competition along the lines of Stars in their Eyes for those in the industry who rated their singing (and impressionist) skills highly enough to perform in front of an audience of their colleagues and friends.
On 30th October 2001, 10 brave acts (we wouldn't have dared!) showed they were as courageous as they were talented as they belted out their idol's favourite hits. The winner was Emily Fountain from Primesight whose Susanna Hoffs impression blew the judges away - but all the acts were amazing. |
