The CTBF has launched a dynamic national fundraising appeal in order to raise funds to develop and modernise the Glebelands Estate so that we can increase the numbers of places currently offered to elderly residents from 26 to 100 places, whilst continuing to provide a range of the highest quality services including nursing care.
Who will benefit from the campaign?
Many elderly peoples' lives are sadly blighted by experiences of isolation and neglect. Glebelands uniquely provides a home run by the most committed staff whose sole aim is to be ready to provide vital help for residents during their most vulnerable years of life. All residents, including those with high dependency needs, are offered dignity and specialist care when they need it most.
Also, individuals will benefit annually from the Glebelands development, whether they are staying for a period of convalescence, or for respite from being a carer.
Why is the campaign needed?
Substantial funds are needed year on year to run Glebelands to the required highest standards. Added to this, the building is over 100 years old and desperately needs essential modernisation so that it conforms to the latest legislation including the National Care Standards 2000 Act.
The CTBF has traditionally funded a high percentage of Glebelands' on-going revenue costs. But despite all efforts, the capital funds required to develop and modernise Glebelands' services far outstrip that which can be funded by The CTBF alone - so we have to look for additional funding from individuals, companies, and other charitable trusts and foundations too.
