The Application Procedure

Who should apply?
The Awards are open to up and coming talent focused on working in the UK film and TV industry. It is a scheme that looks to reward people who have demonstrated determination and motivation in targeting their chosen career. The scheme also looks to help those whose careers have suffered set backs due to unforeseen circumstances i.e. health or finance.

How will applications be judged?
The applications will be judged on both need and merit. Each application must be supported by two references from either educational or professional establishments. The applicant must give a clear plan for the use of the award and explain how winning will help to further their career. Please ensure that if applying for a sponsored award you have a good understanding of what that company does.

Each application must be supported by two references. At least one of these should be from a professional organisation and if possible an educational reference or full details of any course you have been accepted on.

Please ensure that if you are applying for a sponsored award:
• The applicant must include hard copy examples of work.
• Please do not ask us to view work via URL links.
• Please do not submit original materials as we can’t return portfollio's

We have a finite budget each year to be dispensed to a few deserving candidates. Please do not assume that just because you have applied for an award you will automatically be given one. All applications will be judged on merit and need.

What are the deadlines?
