Filmharmonic - Don't miss the ultimate movie experience!

For one night only, The Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra present FILMHARMONIC at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 5th June 2005.

FILMHARMONIC promises to be a truly epic movie experience with film scores guaranteed to make your hair stand on end! Join the CTBF for a gala evening celebrating film music from the golden age of Hollywood to some of today's biggest blockbusters! Featuring music from: THE LORD OF THE RINGS, E.T., INDIANA JONES, HARRY POTTER, INDEPENDENCE DAY and many more! There will also be a special tribute to Elmer Bernstein whose legendary compositions include THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, MY LEFT FOOT and FAR FROM HEAVEN, to name but a few.

The concert will be conducted by Paul Bateman with guests, Debbie Wiseman M.B.E. conducting her own score to the soon to be released French movie, ARSENE LUPIN, and Nigel Hess conducting LADIES IN LAVENDER.

The exclusive CTBF gala evening will begin at 6.30pm with guests attending drinks and canapes in The Gallery of The Royal Albert Hall, before taking their seats for an explosive evening of film music at 7.30pm.

Compliments of the CTBF, guests will also receive a commemorative RPO FILMHARMONIC CD and a programme!

All proceeds from the CTBF event will go to The Cinema & Television Benevolent Fund. The CTBF are the British trade charity, 'providing care behind the cameras', for employees in the film, cinema, commercial television or affiliated industries. Their mission is to help people who may be facing poverty, as a result of accident, illness, bereavement or redundancy.
