The Welfare Support Line is a free phone line for all current and potential beneficiaries, offering free information and support. You can ring in to obtain further information about whether the CTBF can help you. All calls are taken in confidence. Telephone 0800 138 2522.

Who we help

Anyone who has worked for at least two years in film, cinema, commercial television and related industries may apply for help. You can complete the application on line.

You do not need to be a member of the CTBF to be eligible for help. The charity relies on income from fundraising and its investments and pays out over £1 million every year to those from the industry in need.

Advice and support

Our Welfare team consists of Head Office staff in London and trained visitors spread around the UK.

We provide support with practical and financial matters and may be able to approach other organisations on your behalf. Following a visit to your home to discuss your problems and assess the situation, the CTBF can offer a wide range of assistance, including monetary grants, loans and other practical benefits. We will also check to see you are receiving all the government benefits applicable to you.
